· Cost of lifelong care (estimated at $3.9 million per individual) can be reduced by 2/3 with early diagnosis and intervention.

· Illinois ranks nearly last in all 50 states based per capita spending on developmental disabilities.

· Illinois ranks 43rd based on securing all available Federal Medicaid matching dollars.
